Dash Diet – Applesauce French Toast

Every morning, you deserve a breakfast as yummy as this delicious warm plate of French toast. Enjoy this tasty DASH diet recipe!


  • 1/2 cup almond/coconut milk
  • 2 eggs (or 4 egg whites)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 6 slices of whole wheat bread



Mix together the eggs, milk, sugar and applesauce in a large mixing bowl well. Dip and completely soak each slice of bread. Put a slice of bread dipped in mixture into a pre heated greased skillet on medium heat until golden brown on each side.

Cover with your favorite toppings!
